Αbstract:	Το αντικείμενο της παρουσίασης είναι η διαδικτυακή εφαρμογή ΜελΟδύσσεια: μια μουσική ιστορία για νέους (http://melodisia.mmb.org.gr) που δημιουργήθηκε στο πλαίσιο των εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων της Μεγάλης Μουσικής Βιβλιοθήκης “Λίλιαν Βουδούρη.” Το πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται κυρίως στους μαθητές δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης και τους καθηγητές τους και δευτερευόντως στο γενικό φιλόμουσο κοινό και αποσκοπεί στο να εξοικειώσει τους χρήστες με συνθέτες, μουσικά είδη και μορφές που θεωρούνται σταθμοί στην εξέλιξη της δυτικοευρωπαϊκής έντεχνης μουσικής. Για το σκοπό αυτό το πρόγραμμα ενσωματώνει κείμενα, διαδραστικά παιχνίδια και πάνω από 800 εικόνες και 200 μουσικά αποσπάσματα από συναυλίες στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών σε μια εύκολα προσβάσιμη και δωρεάν για όλους πηγή. Η παρουσίαση επισημαίνει την ανάγκη για διαρκή εμπλουτισμό και ανανέωση και καταθέτει τη δική της εμπειρία για το ακανθώδες και δαπανηρό πρόβλημα της εξασφάλισης άδειας χρήσης έργων πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας. Καθώς η κοινωνική δικτύωση γίνεται όλο και πιο σημαντική για την ανταλλαγή ιδεών, την εκπαίδευση και τη δημιουργικότητα το πρόγραμμα προτείνει την ενσωμάτωση περιεχομένου που προέρχεται από τους ίδιους τους χρήστες: οι μαθητές καλούνται να ανεβάσουν τις ατομικές ή συλλογικές τους εργασίες γράφοντας έτσι την δική τους μουσική ιστορία, αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της ατέρμονης Οδύσσειας της μουσικής δημιουργίας.! This paper presents the online interactive application MelOdyssey: Music History for Young People, initiated as part of the educational agenda of the Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri.” The program addresses secondary education Greek students and their teachers, as well as the general public, and aims to familiarize users with composers, genres, and forms that are considered cornerstones in the development of Western music. Towards this aim, the program offers a wide range of materials (texts, interactive games, and over 800 images and 200 sound excerpts from concerts at the Athens Concert Hall) in a single, easily accessible, and free for all source. The paper draws attention to the importance of constant updating and continuity and offers insights on the thorny and costly issue of copyright clearance. As social networking becomes central for the exchange of ideas, peer education, and multiple creativities, the program proposes the incorporation of user-generated content: students will be invited to upload their individual or group projects, thus generating their own music histories in the endless Odyssey of musical creation.

Την περίοδο 1995-2000 διετέλεσε Υπεύθυνη Προσκτήσεων Ακουστικού Υλικού και Οργάνωσης Υπηρεσιών Κοινού και Αναφοράς στην Μεγάλη Μουσική Βιβλιοθήκη “Λίλιαν Βουδούρη” και εργάστηκε ως παραγωγός ραδιοφωνικών εκπομπών στο Γ’ πρόγραμμα (“Ο συνθέτης της εβδομάδας”). Σε συνεργασία με τη Μουσική Βιβλιοθήκη σχεδίασε και υλοποίησε την διαδικτυακή διαδραστική εφαρμογή ΜελΟδύσσεια: μια μουσική ιστορία για νέους για μαθητές δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης, που έχει ενταχθεί στο Ψηφιακό Σχολείο του Υπουργείου Παιδείας. Το πρόγραμμα απέσπασε το Διεθνές Βραβείο Gibson-ISME 2012. Η Δρ Κουτσομπίνα έχει διδάξει Ιστορία της Μουσικής και Μορφολογία στο Σύγχρονο Ωδείο (1994-97) και θέματα ιστορίας της μουσικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Σινσινάτι σε μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο (2001-2003). She is the recipient of several awards, including the Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship of the University of Cincinnati, and has presented her research in numerous international conferences (of the American Musicological Society, the International Musicological Society, and the International Society for Music Education among others) and peer-reviewed journals. In the period 1995-2000, she served as Head of Reference and Circulation Services at the Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri” of the Athens Concert Hall and has been a Radio Producer for the Composer of the Week series of the Hellenic Third Program. In collaboration with the Music Library, she has designed the online application ΜελΟδύσσεια: μια μουσική ιστορία για νέους for secondary education Greek students. The program is now included in the Digital School initiative of the Greek Ministry of Education and has recently been awarded the 2012 Gibson Foundation-ISME International Award. Dr Koutsobina has taught courses on music history at Synchrono Conservatory of Athens (1994-97) and at the University of Cincinnati (graduate level, 2001-2003). She is currently teaching History of Music at the Music Department of the Hellenic-American University in Athens, Greece.
