Αbstract:	Σε μια εποχή κατά την οποία η παραπληροφόρηση υπονομεύει τα κανάλια κοινωνικών μέσων ενημέρωσης αυξάνονται οι ανησυχίες των ανθρώπων για τη βιομηχανία ειδήσεων. Καθώς η εμπιστοσύνη στη δημοσιογραφία εξασθενεί προκαλεί αντίστοιχα η απόφαση δυσκολία στο ερώτημα ποια μηνύματα είναι αξιόπιστα στο διαδίκτυο. Όλο και περισσότερο, το επίκεντρο της αξιοπιστίας αφορά όσους μοιράζονται το περιεχόμενο και όχι το ίδιο το περιεχόμενο. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, οι θεσμικές δομές είναι σημαντικές για τη διατήρηση της εμπιστοσύνης. Οι βιβλιοθήκες δεσμεύονται για το κοινό καλό μέσω της διαφάνειας, των ίσων ευκαιριών, των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων και της ιδιωτικής ζωής. Οι βιβλιοθήκες ενδιαφέρονται για τα συλλογικά συμφέροντα όλων και ενθαρρύνουν την κριτική διερεύνηση πηγών. Αλλά πόσο ασφαλείς μπορούν να είναι οι βιβλιοθήκες ως ένα αξιόπιστο ίδρυμα; Αυτό το εργαστήρι αντιμετωπίζει αυτό το ζήτημα και διεγείρει ιδέες για προγράμματα βιβλιοθηκών που δημιουργούν και διατηρούν εμπιστοσύνη. In an age where disinformation populate our social media streams, the public has grown increasingly skeptical of the news industry. The trust in journalism is low, it is hard to decide what news to trust online and people are focusing way more on the trustworthiness of the person sharing the content than on the content itself. In such cases, institutional structures are important for the maintenance of trust. Libraries demonstrate a commitment to the public good that includes openness, diversity, equal opportunity, human rights and individual privacy. They care about the collective interest of all and encourage everyone to question their sources and think critically. But how confident can libraries be in the position as trusted institutions? The workshop provides incentives to discuss this question, encourages ideas on library programs that build and sustain trust.

Notes:	* H Rafaela Müller διηύθυνε για έξι χρόνια το Πρόγραμμα Νεολαίας της Βιβλιοθήκης της πόλης του Μονάχου και μαζί με την Astrid Meckl ίδρυσε την Επιτροπή Παιδείας Μέσων Ενημέρωσης. Αυτή τη στιγμή εργάζεται στο Ινστιτούτο Εκπαίδευσης Μέσων Ενημέρωσης (JFF) στο Βερολίνο, όπου ασχολείται με θέματα ψηφιακής και πολιτιστικής εκπαίδευσης, καθώς και με την προώθηση της δημοκρατίας. Έμφαση δίνεται στην επικοινωνία του γραμματισμού των μέσων ενημέρωσης, καθώς και στη δημιουργία κινήτρων για πολιτιστική, κοινωνική και πολιτική συμμετοχή. * * Η Astrid Meckl είναι ειδικός στην εκπαίδευση των μέσων ενημέρωσης και βιβλιοθηκονόμος. Επιμελήθηκε τα προγράμματα για παιδιά και νέους της βιβλιοθήκης της πόλης του Μονάχου. Μαζί με την Raphaela Müller ίδρυσε και διεύθυνε την Επιτροπή Εκπαίδευσης Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης για αρκετά χρόνια. Σήμερα εργάζεται ως ελεύθερος εκπαιδευτής στον τομέα των μέσων ενημέρωσης και της πληροφοριακής παιδείας. * Raphaela Müller led the program for young adults in the Munich City Library for more than 6 years and initiated the Commission for Media Education together with Astrid Meckl. She is now working at JFF - Institut für Medienpädagogik in Forschung und Praxis in Berlin, where she deals with various topics of digital and cultural education as well as democracy promotion. In her work she focuses on communicating media literacy as well as providing incentives for cultural, social and political participation. * * Astrid Meckl is an expert in media education and a librarian. She curated the children and youth program at the Munich City Library and together with Raphaela Müller she initiated and led the Commission for Media Education for several years. Today she works as a freelance trainer and speaker of media and information literacy.
