Αbstract:	Αρχίζοντας από μια γενική θεώρηση της θεωρητικής και πρακτικής εξέλιξης της Πληροφοριακής Παιδείας στην Ισπανία τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια, θα παρουσιαστούν αναλυτικά οι αντικειμενικοί στόχοι, η μεθοδολογία και τα αποτελέσματα του προγράμματος TUNE (Εκπαίδευση Χρηστών Βιβλιοθηκών σε μια Νέα Ευρώπη), το οποίο σχεδιάστηκε από τη Βιβλιοθήκη της Castilla-La Mancha, σε συνεργασία με τις Δημόσιες Βιβλιοθήκες του Helsingborg (Σουηδία) και του Randers (Δανία). Θα παρουσιαστεί επίσης μια πολύ πρόσφατη πρωτοβουλία για τη δημιουργία ενός Εθνικού Φόρουμ για την Πληροφοριακή Παιδεία που θα ενώσει τους επαγγελματίες και τους οργανισμούς που ασχολούνται με την Πληροφόρηση και τη Βιβλιοθηκονομία και άλλες κοινωνικές ομάδες, με στόχο την καθιέρωση της ανάπτυξης της Πληροφοριακής Παιδείας. Starting from a general panoramic of the theoretical and practical development of the Information Literacy in Spain in the last five years, the objectives, methodology and results of Project TUNE will be presented in detail (Training of Library Users in a New Europe), developed by Library of Castilla-La Mancha along with the Public Libraries of Helsingbörg (Sweden) and Ränders (Denmark). It will also present the very recent initiative of creation of a National Forum of Information Literacy, that reunites the individual initiatives of professionals and institutions involved in the areas of Information and Library Studies, as well as educational and other social grounds, with the purpose of impelling a national agenda for the development of the Information Literacy.

Ο κ. Selgas είναι επιφορτισμένος με την ευθύνη του συντονισμού του δικτύου των δημοσίων βιβλιοθηκών της ίδιας περιοχής καθώς και άλλων βιβλιοθηκών στην πόλη του Τολέδο. Έχει σπουδάσει Γεωγραφία και Ιστορία στο Πανεπιστήμιο Complutense της Μαδρίτης. Είναι επίσης μέλος του διδακτικού προσωπικού των Αρχειονόμων, Βιβλιοθηκονόμων και Αρχαιολόγων της Πολιτείας και μέλος του διδακτικού προσωπικού του Πανεπιστημίου Complutense της Μαδρίτης, έχοντας παρακολουθήσει μεταπτυχιακά μαθήματα στην Βιβλιοθηκονομία και Πληροφόρηση. Ο κ. Selgas έχει εργαστεί σε ειδικές και πανεπιστημιακές βιβλιοθήκες. Από το 1996 επικεντρώνει την επαγγελματική του εργασία στο χώρο των δημοσίων βιβλιοθηκών. Ένα μεγάλο μέρος αυτής της εργασίας αναπτύχθηκε από τις περιφερειακές υπηρεσίες του Βιβλίου, Αρχείων και Βιβλιοθηκών στο Συμβούλιο Παιδείας και Επιμόρφωσης, όπου υπηρέτησε ως υπεύθυνος. Από το 1999 εργάστηκε επίσης ως τεχνικός υπεύθυνος Βιβλιοθηκών της Γενικής Υποδιεύθυνσης Βιβλιοθηκών, Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Αθλητισμού. Από το 2003, είναι μέλος της Επιτροπής Κτιρίων και Εξοπλισμού Βιβλιοθηκών της IFLA. Εκπροσωπεί την Ισπανία στο Project Tune: Εκπαίδευση χρηστών Βιβλιοθήκης σε μια νέα Ευρώπη μαζί με τις δημόσιες βιβλιοθήκες Helsingborg (Σουηδία) και Randers (Δανία). To πρόγραμμα αυτό χρηματοδοτήθηκε από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση μεταξύ 2004 και 2005. Είναι ακόμη υπεύθυνος για την οργάνωση του σεμιναρίου «Βιβλιοθήκη, Μάθηση και Υπηκοότητα: Το Αλφάβητο της Πληροφόρησης, (Τολέδο, Φεβρουάριος 2 – 3, 2006). Σαν καθηγητής έχει διδάξει θέματα management και εκσυγχρονισμού των υπηρεσιών των δημοσίων βιβλιοθηκών και έχει λάβει μέρος σαν ομιλητής σε πολλά εθνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια. Tel.: ++34 925 284986, Fax: ++34 925 253642, email:jselgas@jccm.es. --Professional experience: Since March 2002, Joaquin Selgas Gutierrez has been director of the Regional Library of Castilla-La Mancha, in Toledo, a depository library for the region of Castilla-La Mancha. J. Selgas coordinates the library networking of Toledo’s wider region. He holds a degree in Geography and History from the University Complutense in Madrid, and is a member of the local association of Archivists, Librarians and Archeologists. He is also a faculty member of the University Complutense in Madrid, and he has completed post-graduate courses in Library and Information Studies. After having worked in special and university libraries until 1996, J. Selgas shifted into the field of public libraries. For many years he was director for the Coordination of Libraries and Adviser of Books and Libraries. Between 1999 and 2001 he was Head Technician of libraries in the General Subdivision of Coordination for Libraries in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Since 2003, he has been a member of the permanent committee of Library Buildings and Equipment of IFLA. He represents Spain in the Project Tune: Training of Library Users in a New Europe along with the public libraries of Helsingborg (Sweden) and Randers (Denmark), subsidized by the “Program Culture 2000” of the European Commission between 2004 and 2005. He presented the seminar “Library, Learning and Citizenship: The Alphabet of Information” which was held in Toledo (February 2 - 3, 2006). J. Selgas has taught library management and modernization of public library services. He participated as a speaker in many national and international conferences. Since October 2005, he has been professor of Library and Information Studies in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
